EXAMINATION POLICY

Exam Policies
Evaluation System and Passing Criteria
School follows a Continuous Assessment for all classes through an ongoing frequent
testing programme and project, activity and internal assessments. The progress
being made is discussed with parents at the end of each test.
Kindergarten
There will be four test series for classes NURSERY, LKG and UKG. T1 and T3 will be
unscheduled and evaluated in the month of July and December respectively. These
series will be assessed on the basis of the child'sday-to-day performance.
T2 and T4 will be scheduled and evaluated in the month of September and February
respectively.
Classes I-V
Promotion Criteria:
i) For Promotion to the next class, a student must secure passing marks (33%) in the
written tests/ examination. The whole year's performance will be taken into account
for each subject.
ii) General Awareness and Computer Assessment (Graded Subjects) will be
conducted for UT-I, UT-II and examination.
iii) Assessments of Art will be conducted for Half Yearly and Annual examination
only.
iv) No written activity/test/examination will be rescheduled for the absentees.

Promotion Criteria:

In classes IX & XI there will be two cycles of Unit Tests, Half Yearly and Annual
examination.
Assessment of components like projects, practicals, internal assessments will also be
done and included with the performance of each subject.
Promotion Criteria:
For promotion to classes IX & XI respectively, a student must secure a passing
marks of 33% in the written tests/examination and also must have passing marks
separately in projects, practicals and assignment. It is mandatory for students to
secure a minimum of 75% and above attendance in school.
CLASSES X & XII:
There will be a Unit Test, Half Yearly, Practice/Pre-Board examination scheduled in
the school planner. To be eligible to take CBSE examination students must achieve a
consistently good record of academic performance and fulfil the attendance
requirements as stipulated under CBSE rules.

For promotion to classes X & XII respectively, a student must secure a passing marks
of 33% in the written tests/examination and also must have passing marks
separately in projects, practicals and assignment. It is mandatory for students to
secure a minimum of 75% and above attendance in school.
